QPR Could Be Set For A Big Windfall. Amid New Crystal Palace and Top Star projects.

Crystal Palace has set an asking price on Eberechi Eze, which could see QPR earn a significant profit.

QPR might benefit significantly if Eze is sold for £70 million or more this summer, thanks to their 20% sell-on clause.
London rivals Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Eze, which might drive up his price for QPR.

A multimillion-pound profit from Eze’s sale might have a huge influence on QPR’s summer transfer intentions.
QPR might get a significant profit this summer from former player Eberechi Eze.

According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace has set a price for the winger ahead of prospective summer transfers.

The 25-year-old joined Palace from Celtic in 2020 for a reported fee of £16 million.

The agreement also includes a 20% sell-on option, which means the Championship club will earn a share of any future sale from Selhurst Park.

Eze has been a standout for the Eagles throughout his stay at the club, with nine goals and three assists in 26 Premier League matches this season (all numbers via Fbref).

QPR ready to earn on the Eze sell-on clause.

Crystal Palace is reportedly requesting more than £70 million for Eze ahead of the upcoming transfer season.

This comes amid interest from Premier League rivals Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, who may potentially try to enhance their offensive options this summer.

QPR may make up to £14 million from any transaction worth £70 million, which would be a much-needed boost at Loftus Road.

This would be one of the highest prices paid for a player in the club’s history, without the need to sell any players from their first-team roster.

This statistic might significantly effect the club’s summer plans, as Martí Cifuentes aims to upgrade his first-team squad.

Eberechi Eze, Euro 2024 and doubts over his Crystal Palace future
The Spaniard will be looking to build on an outstanding half-season at QPR, which saw them avoid relegation to League One.

Cifuentes has received a lot of acclaim for his efforts at Loftus Road thus far, helping the London club finish 18th in the Championship standings, six points above of the bottom three.

He will now be looking to construct a club capable of competing in the top half of the rankings, so an additional £10-15 million in the transfer market may have a significant influence on their future operations.

Eze’s breakthrough at QPR.

Eze came via Millwall’s development system before signed for QPR in the summer of 2016.

Following his departure from the Lions’ academy, Eze joined with the Championship side.

QPR loaned him out to Wycombe Wanderers in the summer of 2017, and he returned in January 2018 to establish himself as a major role in the senior side.

Before joining Palace in 2020, the winger appeared in 104 league games with the Hoops, scoring 20 goals and assisting on 11 occasions.

Sell-on clause may be important for QPR.

If Eze is sold for about £70 million, it will be a massive deal for QPR.

The club’s financial condition isn’t ideal, and they may not have the largest budget in the summer market this year.

However, obtaining an eight-figure fee from Palace might radically alter matters, allowing for the inclusion of one or two more players than initially intended.

One disadvantage is that they have little control over this because they need Palace to agree to sell before they can proceed, but it would be a great boost if they received this type of cash this summer.
