Thousand Oaks, California – On Thursday, the Los Angeles Rams traded wide receiver Ben Skowronek and a 2026 seventh-round selection to the Houston Texans for a 2026 sixth-round pick.
Skowronek, a longstanding special teams contributor in Los Angeles, appeared in 45 games with the Rams over three seasons, making 12 starts. He was also a member of the Super Bowl LVI-winning squad in 2021.
On offense, his most prolific season occurred in 2022, when he had 39 catches for 376 yards and scored a 17-yard running touchdown. That season was also highlighted by his spectacular sideline catch against the Raiders on Thursday Night Football, which set up Baker Mayfield’s game-winning touchdown throw to Van Jefferson.
Skowronek was named team captain (special teams) for the first time last season and went on to participate in all 17 regular-season games, as well as the Rams’ wild card playoff game against the Lions. He also scored his first receiving touchdown in his NFL career.
In 2021, the Rams drafted him in the seventh round from Notre Dame. Overall, he had 58 catches for 575 yards and one score, three carries for 26 yards and one touchdown, and 22 tackles in three seasons.
