Nottingham Forest have not wasted time in preparing their team for a fresh push on the Premier League next season.

It will be a busy summer at the City Ground, and some groundwork has already been completed. Only a few days have elapsed since their final game of the 2023/24 season, but the Reds have already made some decisions on players.

On Tuesday, the club revealed that goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, defender Felipe, and midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate will leave as free agents this summer. Forest also announced that the loans of Gio Reyna, Divock Origi, Nuno Tavares, Gonzalo Montiel, and Rodrigo Ribeiro had ended, with no indication of whether permanent moves will be pursued.

Meanwhile, Ola Aina and Willy Boly have signed new contracts. Their contracts were set to expire this summer, but they are now signed until 2025, with the club offering Boly the option of a second year.

The contracts of Loic Mbe Soh, Scott McKenna, and Harry Arter are also set to expire this summer. The Reds have not confirmed the trio’s departure, but they are anticipated to join the list of players to leave.

2025: Ola Aina, Willy Boly (with a 12-month extension option), Chris Wood, Jonathan Panzo (on loan at Standard Liege), Moussa Niakhate (with a 12-month extension option), Harry Toffolo, Alex Mighten (on loan at Port Vale), Ryan Yates, and Hwang Ui-jo (on loan at Alanyaspor).

2026: Joe Worrall (on loan at Besiktas with an option to purchase), Omar Richards (on loan at Olympiacos), Neco Williams, Brandon Aguilera (on loan at Bristol Rovers), Orel Mangala (on loan at Lyon with an option to buy), and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
