Who the Falcons choose as head coach made no difference. Not even Jesus Christ, Raheem Morris, or Bill Belichick could have outperformed Arthur Smith and Desmond Ridder from the previous year.

The Falcons cannot choose to start the third-round pick in 2024. That much is obvious. Ridder’s position would not alter even if Zac Robinson turned out to be the next Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan.

To be honest, the purchase of the head coach was significant, but I contend that the acquisition of the quarterback is even more crucial. Without a superb head coach and quarterback, winning a Super Bowl is difficult, but winning the championship without a strong quarterback is nearly unachievable.

There will be a hunt because the Falcons do not currently have it on their roster. What qualities will Terry Fontenot and Raheem Morris be searching for in the next quarterback for the team?

In wake of Rams' Super Bowl victory, Raheem Morris is more than ready for his second shot

“Exceptional decision-makers, players who can play with great fundamentals like base running, balance, and short hits in the pocket, and players who can just cut it loose and play ball” are the kind of elite processors.

The position needs to make better decisions for the Falcons. Red zone turnovers were led by Desmond Ridder in the league; this is not the fault of Arthur Smith’s offense. That is all Ridder’s fault.

Regretfully, the solution doesn’t seem to be clear-cut enough to appease Arthur Blank’s immediate need for success as well as his long-term goal of locating a franchise quarterback who can stay in the league for the foreseeable future.

Terry Fontenot, Zac Robinson, and Raheem Morris will have enough money in the draft and cap room to sign the proper player.
