TNBA REPORT: JUST IN Boston Celtics Confirm Another TOP STAR Hamstring Injury Now; He Will Miss The Finals
The Indiana Pacers struggled in the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals, falling behind the Boston Celtics 0-2. The Pacers then declared that Tyrese Haliburton would not return in Game 2 with only eight minutes left, and he never did.
Haliburton was limited to 28 minutes in Thursday’s 16-point defeat to Boston due to a hamstring ailment. By Friday, Haliburton was labeled as doubtful for a key Game 3 against Indiana at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the first time.
However, as Adrian Wojnarowski wrote on Saturday, Haliburton has been ruled out of Game 3 in Indiana.
The Pacers already had a mountain to climb against the NBA’s top team, the Celtics, but without their All-NBA point guard
The Celtics are now -6.5 point favorites for Saturday’s game, but we wouldn’t be surprised if that figure shifts even more in Boston’s favor now that Haliburton has been officially ruled out.
Game 3 begins at 8:30 PM ET on ABC.
Haliburton’s health will be re-evaluated before Monday, but his availability for Game 4 remains uncertain, with the Pacers choosing to be careful with its top players.
