Sheffield Wednesday Now a second deal as Hull City and Coventry City are circling.
For Championship teams, the summer transfer window is now open.
Here are Friday, June 14, morning championship headlines.
Sunderland’s manager most recent
It appeared as though Liam Rosenior, Pascal Jansen, and Will Still were the three players that the Black Cats were missing. The Stadium of Light team is now examining Marti Cifuentes, the manager of the Queens Park Rangers. Journalist Alan Nixon claims that Sunderland would have to pay the Rs compensation, and such is the case. Despite the possibility of relegation when he took over, Cifuentes won praise for leading the team to an 18th-place finish in October of last year.
Josh Windass has allegedly turned down a new contract offer from Sheffield Wednesday and will go on a free transfer this month. The two are “leading race” for the contract rebel. With the Owls, the former Rangers player has made 135 appearances and scored 40 goals. In his 25 appearances the previous season, he scored twice, helping Danny Rohl to keep Wednesday in the Championship. However, it appears like Windass will be leaving this summer, as Hull City and Coventry City are the two teams said to have expressed interest.
Owls are thinking of signing the Brentford player.
Wednesday is being connected to a deal for Myles Peart-Harris, an offensive midfielder for Brentford. During his second half of the previous season, the 21-year-old scored a pair of goals while on loan at Portsmouth. He also spent a stint in the 2022–2023 season at Forest Green Rovers. The Owls are still “keeping tabs” on the player after being linked to a transfer in January. In other news, it’s said that Rohl’s team and SCO Angers have reached an agreement to sign Yan Valery, a former Southampton defender.
