Huddersfield Town will make a new bid for Bradford City Star, the League One sensation.
After seeing their initial offer for League One Golden Boot winner and Charlton Athletic sensation Alfie May rejected, HUDDERSFIELD TOWN is anticipated to make a new offer.
The striker, formerly of Doncaster Rovers, will soon begin the second and last year of his contract at The Valley. He was previously employed by Town manager Michael Duff at Cheltenham Town.
May, who turns 31 early in the next month, finished the season with 27 goals in 50 games for Charlton.
However, it is acknowledged that Charlton may be persuaded to sell if they can find a buyer in advance and the terms of the sale make sense financially. Additionally, the player might be open to returning to the north if necessary.
May, who has scored 73 goals in 204 games at the third-tier level, would provide Town, who had trouble scoring goals up front in 2023–24, a lift.
Jordan Williams, a former captain of Barnsley, has joined Portsmouth.
The 24-year-old has been considering his options; West Brom and Cardiff City are rumored to be interested in the player as well, but Pompey has emerged victorious in the signing competition.
The former Terriers player recently departed Oakwell after deciding to leave the team when his current contract expired.
Brad Halliday has re-signed with Bradford City, extending his contract through June 2026.
After joining the team two years ago, the former Doncaster defender has made 104 appearances. He has been a very steady player throughout that time, and last season, he was selected to the EFL League Two Team of the Season.
