Completed: Derby County has now confirmed the signing of an additional highly experienced star.
Rob Price, the head of medicine and performance at Leeds United, has sent a fond farewell to Elland Road, according to Adam Pope.
Using his official X account, the BBC Sports presenter posted a screen grab of Price’s LinkedIn page on June 21.
Price has changed his bio to state that, as of June 2024, he will be the Derby County Football Club’s lead in sports science and medicine.
It ends Price’s six-year residence at Elland Road.
This summer will see a lot of change for Leeds United, both on and off the field.
Fans and Elland Road administrators would have expected a lot of changes on the field following the team’s failure to win promotion back to the Premier League.
It will be necessary to sell players, and it’s possible that well-known athletes like Crysencio Summerville may depart from Elland Road.
But it appears that the club will also need to adjust to certain changes that have occurred inside Thorp Arch’s backroom personnel.
Price will now need to be replaced, which won’t be simple given the work he accomplished for the Whites.
He had a significant role in helping Adam Forshaw and Stuart Dallas recover from difficult, protracted injuries.
Furthermore, Price oversaw the club’s medical division during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Price will now face a new challenge with the Rams following spells with Hull City and Liverpool.
No question, he will be missed in the background.
A journalist has revealed what he has been informed about Archie Gray in unrelated Leeds United news.
