Four-star receiver Travis Smith Jr. has committed to Tennessee.

Tennessee made another major statement on the recruiting path on Saturday, signing four-star receiver Travis Smith Jr. out of Georgia. Smith was formerly assumed to be a Georgia supporter, but a last Tennessee official visit appeared to seal the deal for the Volunteers.

Smith stands 6-4 and weighs 200 pounds. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, the Atlanta product ranked 113th in the country for the class of 2025. He’s the 16th-ranked receiver in the class and the 14th-ranked player from Georgia.

On3 rates Smith as the 59th best player in the class.

The Peach State receiver selected Tennessee over Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia. Smith was able to pay official visits to each of his finalists during June, as many other candidates did. It was one of numerous trips to Knoxville over the previous year, as Smith accepted his Tennessee offer in September. Tennessee quickly welcomed him on campus, enabling him to compete in games against Texas A&M and Georgia.

Smith brings a huge body to the table, which Tennessee lacks in the class right now. He’s considered as a player who may not have top speed, but he excels in contested catch situations when he can easily rise over opponents.
