An LSU football defensive back has been arrested on accusations of video voyeurism, according to ESPN. Former four-star recruit Javien Toviano surrendered to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office in response to an arrest warrant accusing the athlete of recording himself having sex with a lady without her consent.

Toviano apparently acknowledged to doing so with a concealed camera. LSU confirmed that he has been banned from all team activities but will not comment more on the legal matter.

The 19-year-old Arlington, Texas native was charged with the offense after the lady claims she discovered footage of the two having an intimate encounter on his iPad. She informed authorities that she clearly refused to be videotaped.

Toviano selected the Tigers over Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, Penn State, and USC, among others, and rapidly established himself on the squad during his rookie season. He has 33 total tackles, one pass defense, and one fumble recovery in 13 games last season. LSU coaches expected the 6-foot-1 cornerback to be a crucial role in their 2024 plans, but they may now be forced to make significant changes with preseason practice beginning in August.
