Florida Gators New Signing Headed To Florida Gators To Observe Team Workout On Thursday After Accepting Contract Offer For 5-Year Deal
Gators are welcoming a good group of prospects on campus to see the squad during a summer workout
July 25 marks the start of a seven-day window for recruiters to schedule visits before the ‘Dead Period’ begins on August 1. The Florida Gators will welcome a limited number of prospects right out of the gate that day, with the goal of allowing them to witness the team participating in one of their summer OTA practices. Along with that, candidates will spend time with the coaching staff and have the opportunity to tour the campus to learn more about UF. Swamp247 looks at the predicted names in town.

With a decision expected for August 25, the Florida Gators will bring Miami (Fla.) Central three-star wide receiver Naeshaun Montgomery to campus on Thursday for the first of two visits to Gainesville this week. He intends to attend the Gators’ ‘Grill in the Ville’ picnic on Saturday, but he also wants to study the team during its summer practices. He had hoped to attend one of UF’s OTA practices last month, but was unable to. Montgomery is down to six teams: Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Penn State, and Oregon, but Florida and Penn State are widely seen as the front runners. The Gators have been courting the South Florida pass catcher harder than anyone else, and it’s a good indicator that the coaches will have the opportunity to host him twice before the ‘Dead Period’ resumes and before his decision date.

Florida will also host several Alabama teammates on Thursday. La’Mychael Gunn, an Auburn (AL) athlete and current Liberty commit, will be the only name from that group in the class of 2025. Omar Mabson, a 2026 running back, is also anticipated to attend, having already begun compiling an outstanding offer list. Another teammate, 2026 offensive lineman Trinton Pritchett, is slated to join that group. The Gators have not extended an offer to any of the three teammates.

Joseph Mbatchou names Florida Gators his leader
Joseph Mbatchou, a Loganville (GA) Grayson 2025 defensive lineman, has lately appeared on the Florida Gators’ recruitment board this cycle. He was born in Cameroon and relocated to the state as a baby, but this is his first year playing football. This spring football season was his first time playing the sport. At 6-foot-6, 285 pounds, Mbatchou is still learning the game, but his stature and quickness have gained him some recruiting attention.

On Saturday, during his visit for the Grill in the Ville picnic, the Gators made an offer. During the tour, the Gators made a strong effect on him.
