Alpharetta, Georgia CJ Wiley, a four-star wide receiver from Milton, made his first visit back to Florida State’s campus after shocking many in the recruiting community by selecting the Seminoles over Georgia and LSU at the end of June.

Wiley had the chance to receive some one-on-one tutoring during this trip from Ron Dugans, the coach of his future position at FSU’s Seminole Showcase camp. With his outstanding performance throughout the session, Wiley was named Alpha Dog.

Regarding his performance throughout the camp, Wiley commented, “I thought it was pretty good.” “I still have some work to do but I had a fun time.”

He liked receiving coaching from Dugans and valued the thoroughness with which he provided him with game advice.

“My goal was to collaborate with Coach Dugans and observe how he develops me.” It was good,” he remarked.

According to Wiley, he still communicates with the FSU coaching staff almost every day.

While on campus, he also went to the FSU player walkthroughs.

In their offense, the ‘Noles are recruiting him to play wide receiver (#9). Mike Norvell’s plan places a lot of emphasis on the wideout role, and they believe Wiley is the ideal candidate for it.

“They said they’re going to use my like Keon [Coleman],” Wiley stated. “They’re going to similar stuff that they did with him with me.”

According to Wiley, he will most likely return to Tallahassee for FSU’s Labor Day home opener versus Boston College.

Wiley is still in communication with Georgia and LSU. Is it possible for him to visit one of those colleges in the fall?

“Maybe,” was his reply.

According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-4, 195-pound player is ranked No. 203 overall and as the No. 22 pass catcher in the nation. He just finished his junior year, during which he caught 68 passes for 1,473 yards and 14 touchdowns at a rate of 21.7 yards per reception.
