Good news: Atlanta Braves star Matt Olson was just revealed following exciting news that left fans ecstatic.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin (AP) – After back-to-back home runs by Matt Olson and Travis d’Arnaud on Wednesday, the Atlanta Braves beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-2.

The Braves overcame an early 2-0 lead when Olson and d’Arnaud went deep on consecutive pitches from Freddy Peralta in the fourth inning to level the game. In order to help the Braves escape Milwaukee with a series victory, Olson hit a 416-foot drive to center field, then in the eighth d’Arnaud added a 412-foot rocket to left-center off Nick Mears.

“I was in shock,” d’Arnaud remarked. I’m still in shock about this. Though maybe three times, I’ll settle with two.

Sportradar reports that it was the first occasion since September 4, 2023, when Houston’s Mauricio Dubón and Jose Altuve blasted back-to-back home runs twice in a single game.

The Braves had already done it twice since relocating to Atlanta in 1966, according Sportradar. On August 25, 1993, Fred McGriff and David Justice carried it out against San Francisco. On June 13, 1998, Javy Lopez and Andruw Jones paired up to take on Montreal.

For the first time since June 22 prior to play, Atlanta has gotten within 6 1/2 games of Philadelphia in first place in the NL East.

For Olson, who has had a difficult season after leading the majors in home runs with 54 and was fourth in the NL MVP vote last year, it was a breakthrough performance. Prior to his first of two home runs on Wednesday, Olson was 14 for 90 (.156) in July.

Brian Snitker, manager of the Braves, stated, “He’s been working at it, showing up and playing his tail off.” “We all understand the magnitude of that if we could secure him a nice roll.”

Austin Riley’s bases-loaded, two-out single in the eighth that brought in two unearned runs broke a 2-all tie and put the Braves ahead for good.

With one out, third baseman Joey Ortiz’s error allowed Orlando Arcia to reach, sparking Atlanta’s decisive rally. Whit Merrifield doubled with one out, and Jorge Soler was walked by Jared Koenig (8-3) to load the bases.

Riley hit a grounder through the left side to greet Elvis Peguero.
