4-star WR Joshua Moore is solid to Florida but is still hearing out two other schools “It was really exciting. I still feel like I made the right decision,” Moore said. “It feels like home. They’re treating me good and been real with me, been real geniune.” A major reason why UF won out was their strong future at the quarterback position.
“Really a big factor in that choice was DJ Lagway,” he said. “They had a general, they’ve got a dog at quarterback. Me and him built a relationship when I went up there for the official visit.”
While he feels confident about his decision to commit to the Gators, he hasn’t completely closed off his recruitment to other programs. “I wouldn’t say it’s closed off,” Moore said. “We’ve still got a whole ‘nother season to play. But as of right now,
I’m 100% committed to the Florida Gators.” Miami and Florida State, two finalists for Moore leading up to his summer decision, are the two programs that remain in contact with the 6-foot-4, 205-pound playmaker. “All of the other schools, they’ve just really got to beat out UF,” he said. “Not only just win on the field, because that doesn’t really mean nothing,
but their receivers have got to put up way better stats. Their receivers have got to look a whole lot better. Academic program and everything. Just the production of the receivers.” FSU wide receivers coach Ron Dugans remains active with the South Florida playmaker. “Me and [Ron] Dugans, we’ve just been kicking it,”
Moore said. “Checking up on me, seeing how camp has been going, seeing how summer practice has been going. That’s just what it is.” He says he’ll attend games at Miami and FSU during the season. He’ll attend the UF vs. Miami game in the Swamp in week one. Moore is the nation’s No. 183 prospect and No. 19 wide receiver according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.
