A Week From Now: 5-Star OT Josh Petty gives a sneak peek at his next choice and declaration.
Josh Petty, a five-star offensive lineman from Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia, will make his declaration in a week. He discussed that impending stage of his recruiting on Monday.
“Things are hectic and crazy as we approach decision day,” Petty remarked on Monday at the Corky Kell Luncheon in Atlanta, Georgia. “I’m excited, frightened, joyous, and a little bit of everything else since my recruitment is finally coming to a finish. I’m completely prepared. It’s been a long time coming, and now that it’s here, it seems almost like acceptance.”
According to the US LBM Coaches Poll, Florida State football will begin the season ranked among the top 10. According to a USA Today poll conducted nationwide among coaches and their Sports Info Officers, FSU is ranked 10th in advance of the 2024 season.
The Seminoles are ranked first in the ACC and the first team not affiliated with the Big Ten or SEC to appear on the list, excluding independent Notre Dame. With 46 first-place votes, Georgia is top, followed by Ohio State (ranked second with 7 first-place votes) and Oregon (ranked third).
