Chris Sutton projects the Premier League result between Wolves and Newcastle on Sunday.
On Sunday, Newcastle United will play again.
In some way, Eddie Howe’s team hasn’t lost in the Premier League yet this year.
Although it is hard to say with a straight face that Newcastle is playing well, it hasn’t really mattered up to this point.
They’ve demonstrated a great deal of spirit, even though they were lucky to depart Bournemouth with a point after a contentious VAR decision cost the hosts a late victory.
After Fabian Schar’s questionable red card on the first day, Howe’s team had to endure hardship to defeat Southampton; before the international break, they braved the storm to defeat Tottenham.
But eventually, the performances will have to get better. The Premier League is simply too competitive to allow a side to have too many fortunate breaks.
Howe will be eager to see his squad get going against Wolves on Sunday in light of this.
Pundit Chris Sutton made his prediction prior to kickoff.
Chris Sutton forecasts the Premier League result between Wolves and Newcastle.
Sutton anticipated a 1-1 draw between the two teams in his BBC Sport column.
“Up until now, Newcastle hasn’t lost in the Premier League, but their performances haven’t been great, and they’ve gotten away with it a little bit,” he wrote.
In contrast, wolves have not yet triumphed. They gave Chelsea a 6-2 hammering and made a lot of blunders, but they also generated a lot of opportunities.
Will Wolves get it together or will Newcastle make the right moves this time? You could argue for any team, and I wouldn’t be shocked if they prevailed.
