The Dallas Cowboys’ most seasoned player formally said, “I want to leave for him to play,” because he wants to.

Dan Campbell’s surprising detractors attack the Lions for their landslide victory over the Cowboys: “No class”

In Week 6, the Detroit Lions dominated the Cowboys 47-9 in front of a startled Jerry World crowd, setting the stage for a titanic NFC North matchup against unbeaten Minnesota.

This week, former New Jersey governor and renowned Cowboys supporter Chris Christie launched an unexpected assault on fourth-year Lions head coach Dan Campbell, accusing the 48-year-old strategist of lacking class. It’s the latest high point in Campbell’s incredible rebuilding effort.

“Dan Campbell is there. He lacks class. “Never has,” Christie stated Thursday afternoon when she appeared on Chris Russo’s “Mad Dog Unleashed” podcast. “It’s okay. Everything is alright. That’s just the way he is, Dan Campbell, and as they say, “what goes around comes around.”

Last season’s game between Detroit and Dallas was far more close, with the Lions trying a game-winning two-point convert after falling down 20-19 in the last 40 seconds. Taylor Decker, a left tackle, caught a ball from quarterback Jared Goff in the end zone, but even though the lineman seemed to report as an eligible receiver, the play was halted for an improper touching penalty.
