According to reports, the Boston Bruins’ decision directly led to Martin St-Louis’ termination.

Although I don’t often share my opinions, this one is about Jim Montgomery, the head coach of the Boston Bruins, and Martin St-Louis.
In recent hours, some have seriously suggested that Martin St-Louis may be dismissed by the Montreal Canadiens, despite the fact that the season is still extremely early.
Here is what I humbly think, or at least how I see this circumstance.
First, do I think Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes will fire Martin St-Louis?
No, is the response. This made me pause and reflect.
The Montreal Canadiens will not dismiss Martin St-Louis, but let’s go back to March 2024, when reporter Renaud Lavoie said this.
According to Renaud Lavoie, “Jim Montgomery will coach the Canadiens someday,”
He wasn’t just saying that.
In spite of what some people may say, I do not believe that Martin St-Louis will be let go by the Montreal Canadiens.
But be careful if Jim Montgomery ever loses his position with the Boston Bruins.
In my opinion, Martin St-Louis’s job would become precarious at that moment, and the Hughes/Gorton team might take advantage of the fact that Jim Montgomery would be in great demand to fill the void.
In other words, let’s avoid making snap judgments.
St-Louis is in Montreal, Montgomery is in Boston, and Marty has stated that he needs time to silence his detractors.
