While Celtic’s Youth Academy has always been the center of attention, emphasis has recently shifted to the young players making their way into the main squad.

It’s no secret that losing elite players like Vincent Angelini, Leo Hjelde, and Ben Doak in recent years has greatly irritated me and, I’m sure, the Celtic supporters as well.

But most lately, in an effort to prepare them for life as a Celtic first-team player, Brendan Rodgers has been blooding players like young Daniel Kelly, Mitchel Frame, and Rocco Vata.

Thus, it appears that the team is consistently bringing in young players who are making good growth. Are there, nevertheless, more?

Barry Ferguson is one person who has confirmed that there appear to be.

I’ll never understand how the former captain of the Rangers has inside information of Celtic’s academy, but it appears that he has been informed that the team has a solid group of young, promising youngsters.

Ferguson stated, “There are some [young players] in the system,” on The Go Radio Football Show.

“I’ve talked to a couple Rangers guys, and they told me there’s a group of lads between the ages of 14 and 15 that definitely have promise.
