SAD NEWS: Montreal Canadiens Now Officially Announced The Departure Of Another Great Star

SAD NEWS: The Montreal Canadiens have formally announced that another outstanding star is leaving.

The Montreal Canadiens didn’t really present the Toronto Maple Leafs with much of a challenge on Saturday night, extending their losing run to six games. With a 4-1 loss, they transformed a Saturday night game that most fans look forward to on their calendars into one that they will probably regret watching.

Unfortunately, Brendan Gallagher was the only player who actually showed up for the game, thus I believe it was the Montreal Canadiens.

This was again another heinous attempt by the crew. Their meager four shots on goal at the halfway mark of the game gave the impression that they would much rather be filing their taxes than play that game for the majority of the first two periods. For the most part, they had possession, but they didn’t seem interested in using it for anything other than making pathetic attempts to reach the objective.

In the third quarter, possession favored them even more, and they used it to do almost nothing. You might deceive yourself into believing the Habs weren’t so poor by looking at the game’s statistics. They produced exactly what they deserved from their possession time, which wasn’t much at all, since they had the intensity and urgency you’d expect from a Sunday afternoon scrimmage.

They were facing a Leafs club without Auston Matthews, who had played the night before and lost Max Pacioretty in the first period, which made things much worse. This was their greatest effort, even against a weary squad without a captain and a small bench. It just isn’t appropriate.

Martin St-Louis must make a statement. He has to put some experienced in the press box for the upcoming game since he hasn’t hesitated to bench Arber Xhekaj when he has made blunders. He wouldn’t have nearly enough players to even play their next game if he sat everyone who was entitled to sit, therefore it can’t be everyone. However, it must be someone, as it seems that bag skates haven’t really made the point that this squad needs to play the games clear.

Their current loss is only increasing their chances of being selected in the draft, but the way they’re losing is beginning to raise questions about a coaching change.
