After their most recent loss to the rival Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium this past Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys’ season is still in ruins as they are now 3-6 through nine games.
The squad was clearly frustrated, particularly when owner and general manager Jerry Jones responded cynically to valid worries about the glaring sunshine in his stadium, costing the Cowboys what seemed to be a certain touchdown.
CeeDee Lamb, the receiver in question, only managed 21 receiving yards despite being targeted ten times by quarterback Cooper Rush against the Eagles. After Dak Prescott’s season-ending injury, Rush is now the Cowboys’ starting quarterback.
According to DallasCowboys.com, Lamb is telling supporters he’s prepared to put in the effort required to improve those stats and find a rhythm with Rush before of Sunday’s game against the in-state rival Houston Texans.
“The task will be completed,” Lamb declared. Additionally, I assume complete responsibility for synchronizing with him. I’m most confident in him because we’re going to ride this thing out for the remainder of the season. What occurred last week doesn’t matter to me, and it was last week.
Lamb added that he regrets what happened to Prescott, who decided to have surgery to fix his ailing hamstring at the end of the season.
“I’m sorry for him,” Lamb remarked. We hope for a quick recovery for him after his recent operation. He’s on everyone’s mind. As for us, we must compete for him as though he were present, exhibiting the leadership, the competitive spirit, and all the other qualities he is looking for. We must take action.
On Sunday, the Cowboys vs. Texans game will begin at 4:25 PM EST.
In addition to adding longtime backup Will Grier back to the practice squad, the Cowboys have turned to Rush in the aftermath of Prescott’s injury.
