New York Mets Top Experienced Star Jeff McNeil, Revealed His Plans Either To Stay Or To Leave The Club After….

Jeff McNeil, the most seasoned player for the New York Mets, disclosed his intentions to either remain with the team or go after….

Once more, the New York Yankees and New York Mets are vying for the same All-Star.

Since the Mets defeated the Yankees in the Juan Soto bidding war on Sunday, the dust has hardly cleared. Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon of The Athletic reported on Monday that the two New York teams are negotiating trades to acquire Chicago White Sox pitcher Garrett Crochet.

Mets' Superstar Named Top Defensive Player for 2024

Crochet is reportedly attracting interest from the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies. However, as of Monday, the Yankees and Mets are said to be Crochet’s “most aggressive suitors.”

The one bright point in the historically dismal White Sox season of 2024 was crochet. With 28 starts, 209 strikeouts, 1.07 WHIP, and a 3.58 ERA, he was selected as the team’s lone All-Star.

Crochet’s addition would help the Mets fix a starting rotation that is riddled with uncertainty. Luis Severino was previously lost by the Mets to the Oakland A’s in an incredible trade. Sean Manaea, the standout starter, is still a free agent. Kodai Senga, the presumed star, is recovering after a season marred by injuries in which he made only one start.

Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon, two established stars, are at the top of the Yankees’ pitching staff, which is far more resilient than the Mets’. However, in order to replace Soto’s output, the Bronx Bombers will have to make up for it elsewhere. In addition to Crochet, the Yankees are thinking about making another bold move to cover for Soto.
