The 25-year-old calls Wolves “the club of my career” and claims they have shaped him more than any other team.
During his stint in the Premier League, Ruben Vinagre was a utilized player for Wolves, making frequent appearances for the team in the 2018–19 and 2019–20 campaigns.
After that, he left Wolves on three loan periods until being acquired by Sporting on a permanent basis in 2022.
Regretfully, there was no progress at the Portuguese team, and Vinagre is currently with Legia Warsaw in Poland following loan stints at Everton, Hull City, and Hellas Verona.
Vinagre has nothing but praise for Wolves, even if his time there wasn’t the best because of several loan stints.
He thanked Wolves and described the significance of his tenure there to him in an interview with Record.
“By far, the team that most impacted my career was the Wolves.” When I started playing football professionally, I did it in the greatest
The coaching staff, the fans, and my feelings of devotion. Playing football there was where I was happiest. He stated, “A lot of it is because of what we did there; the locker room was amazing.
“Everything—the workers, the meal attendants, etc. Each of them rated at five stars. It’s the club of my career thus far.

Vinagre continued to commend João Moutinho, his colleague at Wolves, adding that he is still in contact with the midfield player and goes to him for advice.
João Moutinho is the finest player I have ever played with, thus he is the one I speak with the most out of all of them. He is in the game and is aware of what will occur just one minute in advance.
“He was the player who taught me the most, and another fifty guys who have played with him will agree. I still contact him to ask questions if I’m unsure about anything or don’t understand it. He is really skilled, and he has a distinct perspective.
At Wolves, the 25-year-old was in and around the first team all the time, but that hasn’t quite occurred at the teams he has since played for.
He couldn’t find a spot at Sporting, and many at the Portuguese club thought his signing was a mistake. Although the loans weren’t much better, Vinagre still has time to continue and reach his full potential.
He’ll always have his Wolves memories, no matter what.
